This Week in Cross Country

Congratulations to all of our finishers at the final race of the season (except for Jazzlyn), the Section 1AAA meet. Our varsity was 5th, the JV team was 2nd. Jazzlyn Hannenberger qualified as an individual to the Minnesota State Meet, and Stella Zoller was the individual JV champion (which is the first time in my coaching tenure at Century).

MONDAY: Mileage with fast-finish. Come and join Jazzlyn for some or all of her workout!

TUESDAY: Napkin Race. Meet at 4:00PM at the Rec Center on Elton Hills Drive...we usually meet by the gazebo by the river.  This is a scavenger hunt run where we compete against the boys team for the fabled napkin run trophy.

WEDNESDAY: Last workout day....  Also, bring $10 to activity office if you plan to ride the fan bus to the state meet on Saturday.

Team banquet: North cafeteria: 6:00PM.

Food assignments:

9th & 12th grade: Main dish

11th grade: drinks

10th grade: side dish or salad

7th & 8th grade: dessert

THURSDAY:  Mileage day

FRIDAY: No practice. We will take Jazzlyn up to St. Olaf to preview the state meet course.

SATURDAY: MN State Meet - St. Olaf college.  Jazzlyn runs at 9:30am

FAN BUS - Bring $10 to the Activity Office (preferably by Wednesday) to ride the fan bus to the state meet.  Bus leaves at 6:45AM....Returns around noon to 1:00pm.

Hello parents and supporters of Century High School Girls Cross Country!

Every year we need to raise money to provide for the basics of girls CC, including:

  • Race entry fees (usually between $75 and $200 each race)
  • MSHSL coaches membership and staff development
  • Incidentals such as PR Stars, Pep-ups, summer mileage awards and JV standard t-shirts, exercise equipment exclusive to girls CC.

We are reaching out to you ask for a voluntary donation of $25 per student athlete. If you would like to donate more, we will not turn it down!
