The PAC meeting for baseball will be held Thursday, March 23 at 6:30 in the auditorium. Immediately after that meeting concludes, baseball will head over to the north cafeteria to hold our baseball specific meeting.
If you plan to either pitch or catch, you must have baseline concussion testing done. Baseball will be meeting with our athletic trainer, Rachel Lewis. If you do not have this testing done, you can not participate as a pitcher or catcher. If you have had your baseline testing done for another sport, you do NOT need to have it done again.
Practice starts the week of March 20. The MSHSL allows pitchers and catchers to start a week ahead of that time as a arm care and conditioning week. We will go through various drills and progressions to help gets arms ready for the season. The times for these sessions will be posted when gym time is made available, as we anticipate having to start the season indoors.
The 2023 schedule for ALL levels can be found at big9.org. Once there, hover over the "school activity calendars" and go down to "Rochester Century." When that page opens, click on the right side of the screen under the calendar where it says, "view schedules."
Chose the schedule you wish to view (Baseball - Boys 9A, Baseball - Boys JV, Baseball - Boys Varsity) by checking the box(es). Then click view. A pop-up will appear with the schedule for the level(s) you chose.
I'm sure there are questions. Please feel free to email me: tostellmaker@rochesterschools.org and I will do my best to answer.
As registration closes I will create an email list to use for communication for the upcoming season.
