2021 Season

2021 Century Girls Track and Field

2021 was a year to remember. Covid made things complicated but the Century girls didn't let that slow them down! We were undefeated through the Big Nine meet winning the Austin Invite, All City and the Big Nine! Sarrah Lindner broke a long standing triple jump record with her leap of 36'5.75"!!! While finishing fourth as a team at sections, we sent our 4 x 800 team of Gracie Shannon, Sophia Trabuco, Kennedy Speer and Penelopea Gordon to state as well as our 4 x 100 team of Favor Omoijuanfo, Addie Clarey, Sarrah Lindner and Maddy Habberstad! Maddy also qualified in the long jump and Penelopea in the 800. At state we had our second best finish ever as a team at 11th!!! Our 4 x800 girls started the day on a high note with a 7th place finish in a time of 9:32 - our fastest in years. Not to be outdone, our 4 x 100 set a new school record en route to their 2nd place finish!!! It was our first time competing in the 4 x 100 at state! Maddy then took 7th place in the long jump and Penelope gutted out a terrific 800 finishing 9th. All the girls were All-State! It was a GREAT day to be a panther. We can't wait for next season!!!

It is an exciting time for Century Girl's track! We'll see you out there rain, shine or snow :)

Practice Information

2021 First day of Practice - March 29th!

With our new covid protocols, practice will look a little different this year! Our first week will also be the week of spring break. We will be practicing at 9:00 am. If you are in town, we encourage you to come. Please come dressed for the weather/workout as we don't have access to the locker rooms!

Sprinters: 9:00-10:15 - Meet on track weather permitting, volleyball center if not.

Distance: 9:00 -10:15 - Meet on track weather permitting, volleyball center if not.

Throwers: 3:00 PM

Once school is back in session, practice will be after school. Because of covid protocols, we will be having a rolling time schedule three days a week. As of right now, and THIS COULD CHANGE, practice times will be 3:00, 3:30 and 4:00. The girls will be assigned to a practice time/pod. You will need to join CHSTF's google classroom in order to a) fill out an information form b) select a preference on practice time c) read all announcements pertaining to practice. Two days a week everyone will practice at the same time but still remain in their pods. This information will be posted every Sunday night so you can plan accordingly!

Please dress for the weather. We are hoping April will be warm, but it is always wise to have a pair of tights and long sleeve shirt for practice.

We do not know at this time whether an activity bus will be running from Kellogg.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us.

Congratulations to our seniors! We've put together a little something to let you all know how much you've meant to our program - we'll miss you so much - hope you enjoy it!!!
