2022 SUMMER WEIGHT ROOM - Strength/Agility/Quickness (SAQ)

This program prepares high school athletes to get the most out of their bodies, increase productivity, and decrease injury with strength, endurance, and flexibility. Session will be designed increase strength in each sport and foster overall development for our multi-sport athletes. Appropriate for any athlete who wants to improve their performance, this program allows you to train as many days a week as the individual wants.

Teams:  Any team using the weight room must have students pay the fee.

Sessions Begin:
Monday, June 13, 2022 and conclude Thursday, August 4, 2022
             (Monday-Thursday) (NO contact period July 2-8)

Mayo Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will be conducting pre-participation sports physicals on Saturday, July 30, between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at our Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center facility.


  • There are three timeframes parents may choose to be called to schedule the appointment which include: 7:00am to 12noon, or 12noon to 4:00pm, or 4:00pm to 7:00pm. If we are unable to reach them via phone at their requested time, we will send an email or Patient Online Services message.
  • Cost will $20 by cash or check only, payable at check-in on July 30.

We are excited to offer an additional opportunity in conjunction with the physicals.

  • Free Heart Health Exam
    Mayo Clinic Research is offering a free Electrocardiogram or ECG for all sports physical participants.  By choosing yes on the pre-scheduling webform, research staff will contact the parents regarding permission for your child to participate in the study. We anticipate this station of the PPE will add about 5 minutes.

You NEED to take the MSHSL physical form with you.  Physical form can be found on this website (left hand side Tab FORMS).

Directions for finding physical date on Skyward

Sign on to skyward family access and look under the "Report Card & Portfolio"This will be listed with all of the testing results and report cards.

You will need to have a copy of your physical (page 1 and 2) in the Athletic/Activities Office BEFORE you can register online.  The system will not let you register without this.

Once you get your physical done, please email it to DeeAnn Fritz at ) (AS a PDF file OR WORD document (attachment) NOT in the body of the email.

Your updated physical needs to be on file in the Athletic/Activities Office at your high school BEFORE you can register online.  Physicals need to be current for the ENTIRE Season in order to participate.

Fall Sports Online Registration will be August 1 - 8

Please make sure you have a current/valid physical on file in the Athletic/Activities Office PRIOR to August 1.  The registration software will NOT let you register online unless your physical is valid.

Physicals are good for 3 years from the date of the physical.

If you have a physical and need to update it with our office, please email the physical (page 1 and 2), AS A PDF file OR word document as an attachment (NOT in the body of the email), to DeeAnn Fritz at  She will email you back when she receives it.
